Privacy notice

This notice explains what Codic Systems (SMC-Private) Limited ("Codic", "we") does with personal data collected through codicsystems.com. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect

Only what you send us. If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and anything you chose to put in the company, website, budget, timeline and message fields. We also record the IP address the submission came from and the page you arrived from, because that is how we identify automated spam.

If you email or call us directly, we hold that correspondence.

Why we hold it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of business correspondence. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us, and, once a project begins, performance of a contract.

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list. There is no newsletter.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twenty-four months. Records relating to clients are kept for as long as required by Pakistani company and tax law, which for books of account is ten years.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data, and our email provider, which delivers the notification. Both act on our instructions. We do not transfer enquiry data to anyone else unless we are legally required to.

Data is stored on servers that may be located outside your country. If you are in the UK or EU and want to know the specific location before you send anything, ask and we will tell you.

Analytics and cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics is enabled it is configured without cross-site tracking, and the Outfit typeface is served from our own server rather than a third-party font CDN, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.

A single session cookie is set only if you submit the contact form, and it exists to prevent cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close the browser.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@codicsystems.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
